Recenzii — Rose Villa

We just returned from 10 nights at Rose Villa, met on arrival by the owner Tassos who showed us round the villa. The villa is as described very spacious with the living space on the top floor which opens onto a covered balcony with a spectacular view of the Ionian Sea, Zakinthos and Mount Ainos. The swimming pool is fantastic. Nothing to fault about the villa. Tassos also came to clean the pool regularly and was very helpful with advice on places to go and even gave us a couple of Greek lessons! You will need a car to make the most of Kefalonia, beware the roads are challenging as there are a lot of hazards like steep inclines, hair pin bends, herds of goats in the middle of the road but this is all part of the charm of the island. I would recommend hiring a car from Greekstones, met on arrival and just across the road from the airport terminal, nice clean car and no hidden extra charges. Mount Ainos is worth a visit on a clear day, the drive is surprisingly quite easy. Also visited Lassi (lots of nice restaurants), Assos and Fiskardo are beautiful places to visit. Overall we had a great time at Rose Villa and would Highly recommend. Many thanks to Tassos for being a great host.

Excellent property. Very clean and spacious. The pool area is superb. We only stayed for 4 nights so decided to rely on taxis and had no problems. However if staying longer I would recommend a car.

A lovely villa and pool. We also liked the location which was quiet and peaceful with great views.

We had a wonderful time. The property was amazing and very well located to reach beautiful beaches, restaurants and Argostoli. COVID testing was easy to book and secure well in time and stress free. Great holiday!

We loved staying in Sarlata. It took us longer to do the car hire paperwork than it did to drive to our villa. OK so we had to have two cars. Wonderful sea views from the pool and from the living room balcony. We felt like locals as the villa is on the edge of Sarlata and Kourkoumelata which are villages rather than tourist resorts. We loved the local beach of Avithos and there are some great tavernas at the beach and on the way down. The kids preferred Makris Yialos in Lassi which still had a few water-sports on the go when we were there but were slowly packing up for the season. Our favourite taverna was a cheap and cheerful place in the next village. It was always packed with a mix of locals and visitors probably because it was great food and very cheap although not great for vegetarians. The villa was clean and well furnished. We have two rather noisy teenagers but they were happy having the whole ground floor to themselves as their twin bedroom was by the pool and the rest of the party slept upstairs. It was a great choice for our family.

First time in Kefalonia was easy to arrive with direct flights from Germany and close distance to the airport. Everything was good and easy made by Beach Villas. Nice house und good beaches. We like Kefalonia now and will come back.

We found the villa easily with good information from Beach Villas and key at the door. On the way we found a supermarket so we could get food because we love to cook and the kitchen was big. Sometimes we had a BBQ outside. Very hot when we stayed in Kefalonia so it was good to have shade outside by the pool. Very clean and the house was better than we thought from the photos. We liked the sandy beaches nearby but not the stony beaches in Fiscardo so we were glad to stay near Argostoli. The owner Mr Tassos was kind and we went to his shop also.

The villa was very nice and clean with comfortable beds we went all over the island which is very beautiful and has good restaurants too much to see in only 5 days we stayed so will be back

As the end of the year is near, many people tend to take a small break. And so did we. with two families we spend time together, did a lot of sightseeing, had home-cooked meals but also visited the bars and the high classified restaurants in the area. We are thankful for the perfectly cleaned house, the lovely and clean pool and above all the friendly owner who paid us a visit. It is likely that we will revisit and recommend to other friends and family.
